Falls are a whole lot of dreads on a ribbon or hair tie. So you can get the look of dreads, without the hassle of having them.
Extensions are dreads being braided into your hair. You leave them in for a few months, then take them out.

I'm not really into extra hair. It's getting hot and I actually cut me hair for the summer!

Hair falls aren't just dreads. you can do a really cute ponytail or updo without having to do the whole head. most celebs that have thick bouncy ponies are wearing falls.

Hair falls are more than just stuff hanging off your head. There a fashion statement to the cyber goth community. Hair falls say more about you than extensions. Extensions are nice if you have somewhere formal to go or just want a normal look. Falls pump up your look so you can rock them at raves, concerts, parties, etc... So my vote goes to Hair Falls.
